NOTE FOR OUT-OF-STATE, Principal, Assistant Principal and Administrative Resource Teacher CANDIDATES:

Out-of-state candidates must hold a valid, professional teaching certificate in Educational Leadership, School Principalship, or Administrative/Supervision to apply for screening.

If you do not presently hold a valid Florida certificate, you MUST apply for a Statement of Eligibility for Educational Leadership from the Bureau of Teacher Certification, Department of Education http://www.fldoe.org/edcert/

PLEASE NOTE: A newly hired administrator or manager is placed at Level 1 of the appropriate salary schedule for that position. Salary determination for a current permanent employee who is promoted to an administrative or managerial position will be according to the existing promotional formula. Salary Schedule

DISTRICT-LEVEL ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS

(Supervisory, Manager, Coordinator, Director positions)

District-level management vacancies are routinely advertised for two weeks. Qualifications for these positions vary; however, a master’s degree (or equivalent college and specified experience) is required for all positions. Some positions may require that an applicant currently hold a Professional Florida Teaching Certificate or other industry-specific licensure.

District-level positions are not filled from a prescreened pool; applications for district-level positions are accepted only during the advertised period for the individual position. Please click on link located on the Administrative Vacancies page to apply for District-Level positions (do not complete a paper application). Depending upon the number of qualified applicants, the selection process may take four to six weeks following the closing date for a position. Qualified applications may be screened for various job-related factors to determine those who will participate in the selection process. Qualified applicants may receive follow-up emails or telephone calls to request additional information or to conduct telephone or on-site interviews.
